Enjoy a few days of exclusivity at both Hoanib Valley Camp and Shipwreck Lodge.
Arrival at the Sesfontein airstrip (flight booked on own arrangement) and transfer to Hoanib Valley Camp. Important: transfer by appointment only.
Situated on the banks of the Obias River in the Kunene region, north-western Namibia, the comfortable Hoanib Valley Camp is an excellent base from which to explore the fascinating and breathtaking scenery of the Kaokoveld.
The activities offered by the camp focus on the flora and fauna that have adapted to this desert region. In addition to being known for the dry region of the Kaokoveld and the desert elephants that live here, the region is also home to many other animals. Perhaps, with a bit of luck, you will be able to see giraffes, springboks, oryx and even lions.
Overnight on Fully Inclusive basis
Full day transfer from Hoanib to Shipwreck Lodge through the Hoarusib Dry River. If luck permits, you’ll encounter some desert elephants on this trip. Short stop at the clay castles, a natural geological rock formation.
A delicious picnic lunch will be served on the way.
Today you can look forward to a 4×4 trip, which takes you past shipwrecks and an old abandoned diamond mine, to Möwe Bay and its seal colony.
Enjoy a delicious pick-nick lunch on the beach (strictly weather permitting).
In the afternoon, explore the dune landscape of the area with the guide.
Overnight on Fully Inclusive basis
Today you will be driven to Möwe Bay, where you will check in for your flight by light aircraft (booked at your own expense). We wish you a good onward journey.
