This safari gives you the chance to experience our magnificent country in a very personal way. You will have your own professional and experienced safari guide who will enhance your enjoyment of this unique country by making it a fascinating and stress-free journey of discovery amidst very dramatic scenery.
On arrival at Windhoek Airport you will be met by your tour guide. You will then depart for the Kalahari semi-desert, where you will arrive in the early afternoon.
Later today you will enjoy a sundowner drive on the lodge property.
Today you travel through some of Namibia’s most spectacular sceneries. Vast expanses of yellow savannah are dotted with bushes and solitary camelthorn trees. Distant mountain ranges take on different nuances of purple and blue as the day progresses.
We end today at Kwessi Dunes in the NamibRand Nature Reserve.
You spend the day enjoying activities at Kwessi Dunes Lodge.
The routing takes you further via the low plains of the Namib Desert to Dead Valley Lodge, which is located near to the Sossusvlei dunes. This afternoon we explore Elim Dune and enjoy a sundowner.
Very early departure today into the Namib Naukluft Park to witness one of Namibia’s most scenic attractions – the Sossusvlei and the highest dunes in the world. Visit the nearby Deadvlei, a dried out natural water pan with its dead acacia tree trunks rising to the blue sky. We then head to Swakopmund on a scenic flight.
This quaint desert town with its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere hedged by desert and sea, is enhanced by lush green lawns and palm trees.
Your morning starts from the Walvis Bay Waterfront and is filled by an abundance of bird and mammal life, pelicans and seals up close.
Delight in the fresh sea air, then enjoy great food on the beach, with fresh oysters and bubbles! Add a unique tent shelter, beautifully set tables and delicious menu, on the amazing setting of Pelican Point, and all your senses come alive!
Then, a short boat cruise back to the Waterfront.
You will be transferred back to Swakopmund for an afternoon at your leisure.
Departure from Swakopmund along the Atlantic Coast towards the North. Visit the lichen fields near WlotzkasBaken before continuing to Henties Bay, a small holiday resort. Onwards to the seal colony at Cape Cross.
After visiting the seals, the journey continues via Uis towards Twyfelfontein.
Today we head north into Kaokoland. Situated on the banks of the Obias River in the Kunene Region, North-Western Namibia, Hoanib Valley Camp is an excellent base from which to explore the fascinating and breathtaking scenery of the Kaokoveld.
The activities offered by the camp focuses on the flora and fauna that have adapted to this Desert Region. In addition to being known for the dry Region of the Kaokoveld and the desert elephants that live here, the Region is also home to many other animals – you can also participate in exciting game observation trips and see, with a bit of luck, giraffes, springboks, oryx and even lions.
Your destination today is nestled on a hillside amongst Mopani trees overlooking a large waterhole and the vast expanse of Etosha. Safarihoek Lodge offers infinite views over the plains below. The impressive 60 000 hectares of classic Etosha landscape around Safarihoek Lodge is dominated by vast flat savannah, interspersed by Mopani woodland, riverine forest and scattered salt pans.
Join the lodge today on game drives and bush walks, where the experienced guides share with their guests their intimate knowledge of the wildlife and the land that is part of their natural heritage. Perfect for wildlife observation is the hide at the lodge.
You can take your time to view the activities at the waterhole – being in the hide creates
perfect photograph opportunities.
Another day to discover the mysteries of the African bush in Etosha National Park whilst we travel from Safarihoek in an easterly direction via Halali and Namutoni to the Onguma Game Reserve.
We spend the day doing game drives in the park and visit the numerous waterholes that attract a large diversity of animal and bird species, many of these being endemic to the country. In the afternoon we embark on a sunset drive in open game-viewers.
Return journey via Okahandja to Windhoek. Okahandja is an important centre for woodcarvers from the north. This is a good place to pick a last souvenir.
We check into Zannier Omaanda later this afternoon and embark on an afternoon walking activity.
We have come to the end of your tour. In time for your departure flight, you will be transferred to the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Bid farewell to your guide and Namibia.
